Was born on 31st of December 1954 in Cologne, Germany.
After finishing high school he embarked on a lifetime education of travelling.

Well read in philosophy, anthropology, literature and history, his core focus is Eastern philosophy, mainly Zen, Buddhism and Taoism. After years of extensive travelling throughout India, Nepal, Indonesia, Japan, and China he has found an inner peace and wisdom, which so often eludes us in the West.

His forays in guitar playing, song-writing and singing have long been an important part of his life. He understands music as sound sculpture.
However, after becoming dissatisfied with music’s sometimes elusive character, he looked for ways to further extend his horizons and embrace something new.

Introduced to Naxian marble in 2002, he found it to be the perfect medium to express his spiritual understandings of simplicity and beauty, without getting lost in translation. He has been working in anonymity until now.

He uses sculpting as a means of meditation and self-centering, enabling him to journey into the unknown, while still remaining firmly grounded. Thus, when asked about his art, his reply is, *My art is Meditation*

For the past ten years Naxos has been his base in between his travels.
